Christine Penn - Like many others, I've always had an interest in photography, along with a love of travel – they make great companions. In my twenties I did a trip to Europe with a group of young people and an old Instamatic, recording everything that crossed my path. Then in my forties I went on an African Safari with a Canon, my 1st 'decent' camera, and assumed that I would achieve better results. Not so !I joined my local camera club in Tauranga, New Zealand in 1996 - and my obsession started. It began in the darkroom, but eventually moved on to the computer. I like most subjects, but really enjoy working to a theme or on a project. I am happiest out there in the field, shooting images as they appear in the right light.
I have been lucky enough to win medals at national and international competition level. I have gained my APSNZ and AFIAP distinctions.....the next challenge is my 1st Star.
