Originally from India, Kar’s (most people do not remember my first name- so they call me "Kar" ) career as a senior professor at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) required extensive travel that took him to fascinating lands, peoples, and cultures around the globe for more than four decades. His lasting passion for photography far exceeded the time he could devote for a serious pursuit of it as an art form which holds that: photography is not just recording “reality” with a camera, but rather "making" images of “pictures in our heads.” He uses Nikon equipments ( D 700, D 7000, and just purchased a D 800), Photoshop CS 5 and various soft wares for post-production image making.
