Going back to the early 1980’s, my first photographic love was landscapes, especially in the American West with its heroic monuments of rock, weathered and shaped by elemental wind, fire and water. With the passing of years, I have branched into macro, photojournalistic, and creative photography as a veteran member of the Delaware County Camera Club, where I serve as Competitions Manager.
As a PSA member since 1986, I have been a judge for the Print of the Month and for the 2001 PSA Camera Club Website Contest, and I now manage an online Electronic Imaging Division study group.
Photography is a fabulous hobby and, dare I say, a lifestyle, which teaches you to see the world anew, in a fresh and meaningful way. I am fond of the photoquote that “though our cameras can capture an instant in time, the photographer must strive to capture timelessness in an instant.”
