Photography has been a passion of mine since I received my first 35mm camera at age twelve. Unfortunately, I had not pursued a visual arts education, instead choosing a more direct path to financial stability in Computer Science and Information Systems. Then, after seventeen years in Information Technology, I went back to school to obtain a second education, changing my long term career direction to Photography and Filmmaking. I have been pursuing this education, building a photography business in the evenings and weekends while supporting my family, and developing other artistic interests such as painting, illustration, and web design. My wife, Rachel, is also an avid photographer, focusing on nature, especially birds. She has won several awards in state-wide competitions and has had several of her photographs published in national magazines. We really miss our association with the Camera Club of Richmond (VA) since moving to Harrisonburg, VA for a job change and look forward to either joining or forming a similar club here in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
