I am a retired research scientist living in Helsinki, Finland. I took my my first photographs when I was 12 years old. Since then, photography has always been a part of my life. My background as a life scientist influences the choice of the subjects and many of my photographs are of flowers or landscapes, seldom people. I shoot both film and digital. When shooting on film, I use both small and medium format cameras, and recently I have purchased my first large format (4 x 5) camera.
