Sarah Donner : I have been fooling around with photography for approximately 20 years. I have been president of my small community Camera Club for three years. This is my first year as a member of the Boynton Beach Camera Club, and of course, my first year as a member of PSA. I try not to miss a meeting of the BBCC and have learned A LOT since joining. I am a member of a PSA Study Group and find that I am spending MUCH time working with my photos. I am not new to Photoshop Elements, but am to CS4. It feels like I am taking graduate level courses, trying to learn everything, including InDesign which I use to produce a couple of community newsletters. I love it all.

Nothing inspires me more than natural subjects. Animals are always a favorite, along with bold, colorful flowers or dramatic Maine scenery. Some of my images are presented "as-is" with no digital manipulation at all, while others make use of creative digital tools which enhance special qualities that caught my eye when I first stopped to make the photography. Louis Agius : Though I had a camera since a very young age, I only took photography seriously in 1996. My photography took off when I joined Malta Photographic Society and learned a lot from the local experienced photographers. Up to 2005 I spent most of my spare time in my own darkroom but now I have gone all digital. My favorite subjects are shooting action and people photography, but I also keep an open mind to other aspects of photography.
I have been a committee member of the Malta Photographic Society since the year 2000 and apart from other positions on the committee I was Vice President for four years. David George : I have been in the business either as a full time freelancer or part-time shooter since the mid 1970's. I went part-time as I got married and had children. I had a studio that in the beginning was a darkroom lab, wedding and portrait studio. I gradually moved from the wedding and portrait business to commercial and industrial work as well as the freelance work for the local newspapers.

Susan Cowles : I became Interested in photography when I joined my husband at the 2006 PSA Conference in Baltimore. I was able to pose and photograph my first portrait. I decided right then - photography is for me.
I joined PSA in Jan 31, 2007. I serve as Secretary of the Southern California Council of Camera Clubs (S4C). I will Chair the Photojournalism Division for 2008-09. Since 2007 I have been the Director of the PSA CPID International Creative Club Competition (ICCC). I also am a mentor on the PSA New Member web site for "Computer Portrait Enhancement." I enjoy entering Exhibitions and have been fortunate to receive a few PSA Gold medals.
I attend Tri-Community Photo Center where I have completed over 22 classes. I hope to graduate in December 2008. I have taken courses and am certified in makeup application. My husband and I shoot as a team and we have a studio in our home.

Julia Gomelsky : Julia Gomelsky is a designer/photographer based in Santa Monica, California. Her minimalist style is characterized by high contrast images that celebrate the mystery and mood of black and white film. She is particularly drawn to entrances and doorways but her body of work also includes portraiture, landscape and travel photography.

The Doll Collection provides a glimpse into the lives of two dolls, juxtaposing deeply ambivalent images of silly, girlish fun -- doing the splits in a field of green grass, a day at the beach -- with those portraying the disturbing consequences of off-camera brutality.
Both dolls are nude, with ruby red lips, extravagant hairstyles and wide blue eyes. Yet they're girls, not adults, evident in their delicate, upturned smiles and profoundly innocent expressions. The effect of seeing them exposed in public places is both humorous and chilling, prompting viewers to ask: If these dolls could speak, how would they describe their circumstances? And what role do we, as voyeurs, play in their games?
